EXCENEL RTU EZ Approved for Dairy Cattle by the FDA
NEW
YORK (July 30, 2008)—
The FDA recently approved new EXCENEL® RTU EZ (ceftiofur
hydrochloride) Sterile Suspension for the treatment and control of
metritis, bovine respiratory disease (BRD) and foot rot. With its improved
formulation for user convenience, EXCENEL RTU EZ makes injections easier to
administer and kills major pathogens associated with BRD with a zero milk
discard advantage. Studies show that EXCENEL RTU EZ is significantly more
syringeable when compared to EXCENEL RTU.1

effectively treat a broad spectrum of pathogens that cause metritis, bovine
respiratory disease (BRD), shipping fever, pneumonia and foot rot. The product
requires no refrigeration or reconstitution and can be administered daily or

For
best syringeability, EXCENEL RTU EZ can be administered with a pistol grip or
similar syringe that has been sterilized and cleaned according to normal care

hypersensitive to the product. EXCENEL RTU EZ has a pre-slaughter withdrawal
period of 3 days with no milk discard.
