Mother Nature Has Not Been Kind to Calves This Summer
(August 13, 2012) An extended period of hot weather this summer has had a devastating impact on calves. More than two dozen herds have reportedly suffered heat stress deaths throughout the Midwest, half of which are located in Wisconsin. DairyLine spoke with Tom Earleywine, technical services director with Land O’ Lakes Animal Milk Products about managing calves during hot weather.
